Samsung Electro-Mechanics has developed an MLCC (multi-layer ceramic capacitors)

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has developed an MLCC (multi-layer ceramic capacitors) with the world's highest capacitances for its size.

The 100V CL32Y106KCJ6PJ# MLCC has a capacitance of 10 µF for a 1210 format measuring 3.2 x 2.5 mm and is aimed at automotive designs.

The number of MLCCs installed in modern vehicles is growing rapidly in line with the increasing functionality of electric vehicles (EVs), advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving (AD) systems, and HEAD Lighting. As a result, the miniaturization, stability, and increased capacitance of MLCCs have become prime market requirements.

Many of these applications are powertrain or safety related, demanding the development of a solution based on many years of design and manufacturing experience in technologies of this type.
